MOSAIC TABLETOP WORKSHOP
Learn the skills necessary to create a brilliant mosaic on a circular 55cm diameter tabletop. Learn the relative merits of both the direct and indirect methods. you can decorate the table with your own design–don’t forget to bring it to class! Or use the special 'geometric' template available at the workshop, to adapt and embellish in your own personal style.
The colour tiles you will be using are black, white, tan and terracotta. Thin (3mm) china fragments or glass mosaic tiles can be used if you have them. Bring protective eyeware and big tweezers to the workshop.
The course fee does not include table legs. The movie 'Glue & Screw' hints at how the top is attached to the base,(-swf movie requires Flash5 player from macromedia).Further information on this and base suppliers will be available at class. As the adhesive requires 24 hours to set you will need to take the mosaic home with care. Grouting your work is easy, but will not be possible until the adhesive is set.
