MOSAIC PORTRAIT & DESIGN WORKSHOP

 

Photograph yourself, your pet or anyone begging to be immortalised in mosaic and use it to create a brilliant face portrait, 295mm square.

Send your photo to Mike Dodds Mosaic PO Box 22 Newtown 2042, no later than a week before the workshop commences. A template will be made for you to use as a guide. Please indicate how you want to crop the photo by masking off unwanted bits of the photo with tape or paper. Working off an accurate representation of the face allows students to create a lifelike portrait. However there is plenty of scope to express your creativity.

Note that you can choose to work on a design of your own, rather than a portrait. Remember to bring the design sketch, (295 x 295mm) and protective eyeware and big tweezers to the workshop.

Duration:2 Days Time:10am–4pm. Venue: Waverley Woollahra Arts Centre, 138 Bondi Rd Bondi NSW Australia. Cost: Portraits:$180 (includes materials and template, Designs:$180 template supplied by you).
